Making Aviators Better and Safer
Nova is made up of a small group of aviators with backgrounds from civilian flight instruction and corporate aviation, to military fighter flight test, and everywhere in between. Our goal is to create a platform to make our clients better, safer, and more confident aviators through increased depth of knowledge and skills, by continued training "beyond the checkride." Currently, all of our courses are online, with efforts underway to begin live in-person courses and flight training in the future.
At Nova, we believe the best way to conduct classroom instruction is from a well versed instructor with a whiteboard and a smile. Slideshows and computer animations have their place in teaching, but we believe they are drastically overused, and become a crutch for teachers and students alike. This is why our online instruction mimics the dynamics of a classroom as closely as possible for an online platform, while also taking advantage of the benefits of using a digital technology.
Mastering a skill also takes practice. Nova does not currently have an active flight department, but check back often as we plan in the future to be able to provide focused, safe, and fun training to hone your aviation skills to become a better, more efficient, and safer aviator.
Our courses are built to encourage critical thought and give insight into specific areas of aviation. Courses are meant to be highly focused in order to aid decision making, give clarity to abstract concepts, and look to provide corrective actions for current accident trends.
Whether you fly light sport aircraft on the weekends, are a VLJ owner/operator, or are a professional aviator looking to sharpen your knowledge, we hope our courses are informative and engaging and can be a positive force in aviation safety.
